Firsthand boots-on-the-ground district superintendent experience managing the aftermath of California’s most destructive and deadly wildfire in history.

Recovery – Rebuilding – Resilience – Perseverance

The Camp Fire started in the Golden Feather Union Elementary School District before moving to Paradise in 2018. The school moved its location from the burn scar to an alternative location in 14 days after board decision.

I hope that lessons learned from this experience will help other districts facing similar hardships.
